Ecomuseo Feltrificio Crumière

Nel 1995, la collaborazione tra il Comune di Villar Pellice, la Comunità Montana Val Pellice e la Cooperativa Nuova Cumière, consente la realizzazione di un progetto per la trasformazione dell'antico fabbricato del Feltrificio Crumière , in museo di archeologia industriale della Val Pellice.

L'intervento, finanziato ai sensi del Regolamento U.E. 2081, ha permesso il recupero integrale della parte storica dell'edificio, consistente in una costruzione in pietra di fine Ottocento, disposta su tre piani, prima adibita a mulino e successivamente a feltrificio.

La trasformazione in museo del vecchio fabbricato, ne ha evitato il progressivo degrado restituendolo all'architettura tipica di un villaggio del secolo scorso, permettendo il recupero dell'insieme dei macchinari tessili d'epoca e dell'archivio storico di fabbrica che ricostruiscono fedelmente la vita socio-economica dell'azienda.

L'Ecomuseo Feltrificio Crumière, inaugurato al nuovo corso il 14 luglio 2006, è gestito autonomamente dal Comune di Villar Pellice, dal Comitato Scientifico di tecnici ed esperti, in collaborazione con la Comunità Montana Val Pellice e con il coinvolgimento prezioso di numerosi cittadini volontari.
